Battery problem or a plan that no longer fits?

If the battery does the same unexpected thing at the same time each day, its plan or settings may no longer suit your home. A fault shown in the battery app is a different problem.

General Australian guidance reviewed 20 July 2026.

A simple first check

  1. Look at the battery app: note any message or fault code shown there.
  2. Check the timing: does the same thing happen at roughly the same time each day?
  3. Check the battery level: it may be saving a set amount of power for later.
  4. Check who is in control: your electricity company or another battery service may be changing its behaviour.
  5. Still not sure: keep the screenshots and use the support that came with your battery.

What to note in the app

  • The time and battery percentage.
  • Whether the battery is charging, waiting or supplying the home.
  • Any message shown by the battery manufacturer's app.
  • Whether your electricity company or another service can control the battery.
  • Whether the pattern repeats on other days.
