Deleting your Sundime account

TL;DR. You can delete your Sundime account — and the data linked to it — at any time, right inside the Sundime app: Settings → Sundime account → Delete account. No need to contact us. If you can't get into the app, email privacy@sundime.com.au and we'll do it for you.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open the Sundime app and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Sundime account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and its associated data are removed from Sundime's servers immediately when you confirm.
If you can't access the app
Email privacy@sundime.com.au from the address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll verify it's you and delete your account and associated data, then confirm by email — normally within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed from Sundime's cloud:
- Your account and the email address you signed in with.
- Your device's secure access keys (the enrolments that let your phone reach your Gateway).
- Any household sharing you set up or were given — the people you invited, and access others granted to you.
- Account-linked records held to operate the service for you.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your Gateway's local data stays with you. The Sundime Gateway is hardware in your home; it stores and runs your battery schedule locally, on your own device. A factory reset on the Gateway clears that local data. Sundime never sells or mines your energy data (see our Privacy Policy).
- Backups. Routine encrypted system backups are rotated automatically; any residual copies of your data are purged within 30 days.
- Legal/transactional records. Where the law requires us to keep certain records, we retain only the minimum for the required period, then delete them.
