Now in private beta

Make your home battery follow your electricity plan.

Sundime is a local Autopilot for Australian home batteries. The Sundime Gateway learns your home, forecasts solar, reads your electricity plan, and works out when your battery should charge, hold, or export.

Private beta for GoodWe ESA homes. More battery systems later.

Solar panels, batteries, EVs, retailers and electricity plans don't naturally work together. Your battery may not know when power is cheap, expensive, free, or worth exporting — so most homes run on factory defaults. Sundime's job is to close that gap.
Local Autopilot

How Sundime works

No two electricity plans look alike — cheap overnight power on one, free hours in the middle of the day on another, a higher feed-in rate somewhere else. Autopilot learns yours and works out your battery's day:

Learn

Learns your home

It watches how and when your household actually uses power — and gets a little sharper every week it runs.

Read

Reads your electricity plan

Your rates through the day, free periods, and what you're paid to export — so every decision is priced against the plan you're actually on.

Forecast

Forecasts your solar

It checks the weather and predicts how much your panels will make and how much your home will use tomorrow.

Calculate

Calculates the battery plan

When to charge, when to hold, when to export — worked out from your usage, your solar and your rates, and recalculated through the day as conditions change.

Local

Runs in your home

All of this happens on the Sundime Gateway, locally. If your internet drops, your battery plan keeps running.

Report

Shows you what happened

The app shows what Autopilot did and why — and once it has measured data from your home, what it actually saved.

You don't manage any of this. Autopilot keeps recalculating as the weather, your rates and your routine change — you just see the results.

Measured, not promised

Sundime sits between your battery and your power bill. That's a job we take seriously — so the product is built to earn trust, not assume it.

Local first

Autopilot's decisions are calculated on the Gateway in your home, not in a distant data centre. Your energy data isn't sold or mined.

You stay in control

Pause Autopilot from the app at any time. Every change Sundime makes is recorded and reversible, and the protected settings your installer commissioned are never touched.

Savings are measured

Sundime doesn't show a dollar figure until it has real, measured data from your home — and we don't guarantee savings. Results depend on your home, battery, solar, plan and weather.

An honest beta

Sundime is in private beta with a small group of GoodWe ESA homes. We'd rather prove it carefully than launch it loudly.

Who it's for right now

The beta is deliberately small. Here's who Sundime suits today:

Homes with solar and a battery

Sundime is for Australian homes that already have rooftop solar and a home battery, and want more out of both.

GoodWe ESA systems, first

The beta supports GoodWe ESA battery systems. More battery brands are planned — registering your interest tells us which to build next.

People who'd rather not micromanage

For owners who want the battery working harder without spreadsheets, schedules or daily fiddling. Autopilot handles it; you check the app when you feel like it.

FAQ

Is Sundime AI?

Yes. Sundime uses local machine learning and optimisation to learn your home's energy patterns, forecast solar, and calculate a battery plan. We call it Autopilot because the point is not the AI itself — it is that your battery can quietly follow your electricity plan without you managing it every day.

Does Sundime guarantee savings?

No. Savings depend on your home, battery, solar, electricity plan, weather, and how the system is configured. Sundime only shows dollar savings once it has measured data from your home.

Does it work with my battery?

GoodWe ESA systems are first into the beta. Sundime is built so new battery systems can be added without starting over, and registrations tell us which brands to support next — tell us what you have.

What data leaves my home?

Autopilot's decisions are made on the Gateway in your home. The Gateway checks in with our Australian-hosted cloud for software updates, current plan and rate data, and a health heartbeat. If you turn on remote access, energy and status data passes through a secure Australian relay so your app can reach home. We don't sell or mine your energy data — full detail in our Privacy Policy.

Can I pause it?

Yes. You can pause Autopilot from the app at any time and your system goes back to behaving as it did before. Every change Sundime makes is recorded and reversible.

Why is Sundime in private beta?

Because measured results come first. We're working closely with a small group of GoodWe ESA homes to prove Autopilot's decisions — and its measured savings — before opening up more widely. We'll publish pricing before anyone pays anything.

Do I need an electrician to install it?

No. The Gateway is a small box that connects to your battery system over your home network — no wiring, no switchboard work. There's one setting to switch on at your inverter the first time, and we walk you through it.

Will it mess with my inverter? Is it safe?

Sundime only touches a small set of safe, everyday settings — charge times, battery reserve, charge and discharge. It can't change the protected commissioning settings your installer set. Every change is recorded and reversible.

How is this different from my inverter's app?

Apps like SEMS are for monitoring — they show you what your system did. Sundime is for deciding — Autopilot works out what your battery should do next and carries it out, tuned to your electricity plan. Keep using your manufacturer's app alongside Sundime; they do different jobs.
